It’s a remembering that for over 4 billion years, the Earth has held a living library of wisdom. Generously offering healing through her plants, her rhythms, and her presence.

In the spirit of this retreat, we're defining Earth Medicine as herbal wisdom and connection to the healing plants around us...and, it’s also a prayer of gratitude. At this gathering, we come to listen, learn, and honour. Through ceremony, plant teachings, and making medicine by hand, we reconnect with the Earth—not as something to own, but as something to be in relationship with. We remember that we belong with the Earth, not to her.

Guided by our wisdom keeper, Maureen, we'll learn to identify local plants, make our own medicine to take home, and connect deeply to the spirit of this land...her garden sanctuary.
This is Earth Medicine: the remembrance of your relationship between your body and the soil, your breath and the wind, your heart and the roots beneath your feet.

🌿 Meet Your Guide: Maureen Robinson
Maureen is a hobby herbalist, reiki master, medicinal gardener, Qi Gong teacher, and semi-retired chocolate maker. In 2019, she and her husband moved their longtime chocolate business to a magical 5-acre farm in Aldergrove, where she began living her dream of deepening into Earth medicine.
Her garden is a living tapestry—curved paths, birdsong, a sacred stone circle, and a vibrant ecosystem where everything growing is food, medicine, or nourishment for the land. Walk barefoot. Sip a garden tea. Hear Maureen say her favorite phrase:
“A weed is just a plant that refuses to grow in rows.”
